Zizou is nowhere near being top worldcup scorer!
I think you will find it is Ronaldo. Sorry I'm a real geek when it comes to football/soccer

It was dramatic in unexpected ways
As soon as Zizou did the head butt, the writing was on the wall for
France. I can imagine that would be hard to live with for some of his
team mates.

That was a good write up. I've sent 10 clicks to this blog. Thanks for sharing the joke.

Hello mate! Mark, it is hard to forget that one....and they were diving too
Overall, I wish referees would not offer penalties AT ALL in the first 45 minutes. Unless someone is attacked and/or is bleeding after contact. As kids we had to have a tough skin. Now at this level, some refs act like STARS only fall because someone fouled them! Thanks for stopping by....and we are ALL winners when soccer can unite more than it divides. You set a good example by "forgiving" Italy. LOL

I'm glad the Italians won, even though they beat Australia. Still hating Henry's out-and-out dive in the Semis!

Thanks Blackcat---- I will remember your tastes are eclectic. Soccer is
as international as basketball, or maybe more so. It's appeal is that one does not have to buy equipment with which to play. Kids play on parks/streets. yards with a inexpensive plastic ball in many developing countries. Even today, the National soccer teams in India, parts of Africa and America, do not get the financial support from governments or "sponsors".
