I have just seen your comment in here, and sadly, I have to inform you that you are not correct ; comforting as it undoubtedly is to believe in the innocence of German Christians of the 1930s and 1940s.
If I may quote only two books to refute your belief, they are " Hitler's Willing Executioners" by Daniel Jonah Goldhagen, and " The Holocaust" by Maritin Gilbert.
Goldhagen in particular quotes chapter and verse of rabidly anti-Semitic sermons, and other statements by German Christian church leaders.
Even as an atheist, one is shocked and depressed to have to acknowledge that the German churches were at the forefront of the initial exclusionay anti-Semitism, which Hitler could so easily transform in exterminatory anti-Semitism to facilitate his Holocaust.
In case you are unaware of it, I have always respected Christians and their beliefs, and in my comments back and forth with Christians in here, I invariably act in a courteous manner.
The complicity of the German Christian churches in the destruction of European Jewry was truly unforgivable, and yet, painful as it is, we of a later generation must come to terms with those events as best we may. And to do that we must face the truth, however ghastly it is.
I wrote " we of a later generation " but of course I am of the generation of WW11 and the Holocaust, and the duty of setting the record straight falls heavily upon my generation. I cannot recommend those two books too highly.

I don't there were many people in Germany who were not Christian.
The Czars of Russia were Christians. The people who helped carry out the progroms were Christians. For almost two millenia Christians have persecuted Jews. Period. Check out the Christians of the South in the first part of the 20th Century and many sakinheads, etc. today.
and by the way, wuit ascribing to the lie that Moslems hate Jews. Read about some events.
and it still doesn't change the fact that Jews are being exploited by Christians right now for their own agenda of getting a temple built for the 2nd coming.

You lost me when you referred to Hitler and a Christian nation.
To call Hitler's Germany "Christian" is a complete slap in the face to true Christianity. The Christians of Germany during Hitler's time were either fighting to save the Jews, or were cowering in fear beneath Hitler's maniacal torture of millions. Not everyone was brave during that time.
I believe the Czars of Russia were more interested in power and wealth and their own ideas of population control than they were the mandates of Russian Orthodoxy -- err I mean, following the edicts of the Church.
Xenox, sometimes I think you are a wolf with a fake sheep's wool cover. The way you, a supposed christian, incessantly rale Christianity simply blows my mind.
