Yes, Marie, they were the founders, but this nation has drifted far from
what they intended and has in all praticallity, "foundered'. Where we are today has no resemblance to what our forefathers intended. Ypun, wonderful senryu! Pity there aren't enough syllables to name all the greats! One pearl that has escaped man through the trials of time is from Ben Franklin, and I used it in one of my poems that I posted in my military blog. "We must all hang together or we shall certainly all hang separately" I believe the hanging separately has begun. Hope we can turn it around. Wonderful for our Independence Day! Thank you.

happy fourth of July!
Not sure if the old leaders would approve of the nation...who knows what they would think, but you can shift some blame on them they were the founders of the nation, I think...
