and as I said, cantey_1975, these are FRINGE Christians
they don';te ven speak for 10% of Christianity

and yet they dominate discourse and act like what they believe, all Christians believe.

why don't you drop into your nearest Catholic Church, Orthodox Temple, Episcopal Church, Methodist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, or United Church of Christ  and spew your BS and see how far you get

cantey_1975
it's not sensibilities i'm talking about
it's

  1. constitutional rights
  2. the right to believe or not believe unobstructed by those who would virtually force their beliefs on you

janesopinion
yours is the type of propaganda we must watch out for.

"protect" Christianity by  imposing it on the unwilling.

Excellent comments, cantey. Thanks for your reasonable opinions!

And let me also state that I, for one, have no desire whatsoever to turn this into a Christian State -- at least as you (Xenox) describe it; however, I will fight anyone who attempts to erode the Judeo-Christian foundation and principles on which our Nation was founded.

The ACLU has stepped way overboard in its antagonism towards Christianity, in favor of freedom of religion and expression for all other religions.  If we are going to be a Nation with freedoms from religion, then it needs to be from ALL religion.  Their zeal (that of the ACLU) towards separation of church and state, has become a zealous bigotry almost entirely against Christianity.

wonderful and true post.... I consider myself to be a Christian (the way
I think Christians should be..hehe) and we seem to get put in the same bucket or have a predisposed opinion placed on us because of the down your throat loons.   Thank you for saying this!

lets keep an eye

on those machete weilding, burka wearing, bomb chucking , jihad practicing, airplane hijacking christians. God forbid someones sensibilities get irked.

why cant people see that radical islam is far more likely to irk sensabilities than " radical" christinanity? Islams fringe element is more dangerous than christianities fringe element, as far as mass murder and destruction is concerned.

nmost americans probably have no problem whatsoever with the cross being displayed at a memorial. The symbol is a sign of respect and goodwill towards the dead, not an atempt at evangelism. Some  good common sense confirms that.
