lol C'mon now luv, hiding from a toad. I love 'em. We have tree toads here and they stick on my window and look in and make life less lonesome.

Bel, I just read your last comment on squashed toads, EWWWWW!
I have to say that the Geico gecko annoys me: he is not cute, he has an impossibly bad Cockney accent for no apparent reason which has nothing whatseover to do with the product, AND (here's where I'm getting to the point having to do with your post): HE IS REPTILIAN.  Need I say more?  Have you come out of hiding yet?

Spiders are not big deal, I can step on them and SQUASH them.  Imagine what a SQUASHED toad looks like.  Worse, what they feel like under your shoe.

I know that rationally but irrational fears are NEVER rational!

Oh, poor bel!
I completely lose it over spiders, so I know how you feel.

Toads are perfectly harmless ...

And their warts aren't even actually contagious.

Btw, newts and salamanders would seemingly also meet your "amphibians that appear reptilian" standard.

"Why does man kill? He kills for food.
And not only food: frequently there must be a beverage."

I know Sunny.
I think I will hide until Carl gets home and make him rid my berries of the evil toad!
