Sorry, to hear about the tough time you are having but it sounds like you are pretty tough. I am glad you were slowly coming to terms with the situation because I am sure it can't possibly be easy.

I feel compelled to sit and read all of these entry's. I myself am a 28 year old single mother of a 9year blessing, amazing girl. Her father is also absent...and damn near the best thing he ever did for both of us was choose to walk away! His loss....I've learn to accept over the years! My daughter and I have the most amazing relationship....and bond I have ever experienced....You will keep each other strong....and one day it will dawn on you that each other is all you need. I'm sorry to hear that you felt unable to let family and friends close on this day.  I think it could help if you let in these people who want to be close to you.
Your daugher is a  you living, loving baby girl. There is no more legitimate claim than that. Take care

I can't imagine the pain you must have been in to feel all of this.
It's good that you are comming to terms with this.
Her father will miss out on a lot, and it is truely his loss.
