good stuff

The haiku match the photos well, rather majestic.

The first photo inspired me to write this Entry in Karumi.

swft,
absolutely stunning pictures, and the haiku to go with them...I have resolved that I'll try that combination, but before I post any of it, I must satisfy myself that it at least approaches your standards...I did post a couple of haiku (written a while ago) last Saturday, as well as a poem that arose out of a personal experience, and I would value your opinion...

yPun! That was nearly a poem in itself! thanks again.
In Tallequah, Oklahoma (The capitol of the Cherokee nation) The entire town is loaded with Azaleas and during the flowering time, they have a huge Azalea festival. It is quite something to see!

yPun! Thanks so much! lol
Yeah, Simon and Garfunkel were fine but they have no clue what Haiku is, do they! hahaha Well, they were good at what they did! Thanks for the compliment! You do realize that everyone of my photographs are mutated? Kind of an acceptable cheat! Love digital!

I got my tongue back Dave!
The Asters remind me of South Africa. But the Azaleas are wowing... when I consider how drab, unexpected the leaves may look as comapred to the flowering season and the ocean of petals and colors.

Hey Dave... these three pictures are so alive; their beauty makes me silent

I'll give you an assignment....if you are interested.
Go outside, look around and find a rock. Any rock, but note it's location, color, size, shape, proximity to other rocks, etc.   and write one haiku about it. Post it tomorrow (or whatever it is for you there! ) and I'll grade your work tomorrow! hahaha! Like I'm any master! lol

As far as what to write next?
A good exercise is to just look at anything in nature, no matter what it is and then make yourself write about it. Go outside, look around your yard, spot a small branch on a tree, a bird in a bush, a rabbit across the neighbors fence, a cool cloud in the sky, a special color you spotted and what caused it! You will learn to look for haiku in everything you see! Good luck and can't wait to see what you come up with. Also, think about your personal, family, business life, etc. and write a haiku for that, it will be what is called "senryu"!

GO TO "MY ACCOUNT", CLICK ON "VIEW OR EDIT PICTURES"

THEN go to "add a picture", browse til you find it then add it.  Then click on the picture so you are looking at it. Go to the address bar and right click on the URL....copy.

Go to edit or "add entry" and where you would add text, put your cursor there. Then click on the "picture" in the commands bar and a box will come up. "Paste" the URL into the bar in this box and click O.K. Your pic will be inserted into the text of your blog entry. Make sure there are a couple empty line before and after (you can remove them later if you need to) other wise it is sometimes difficult to put text before the pic. Hope this helped!

The Asters are mt favourite

In the shadows their purple turns to an almost eletric blue.

I'm wondering what part of nature I can write about next, you seem to have the flowers covered, although I have some gorgeous roses i could write about. How do you put up a picture?
