Thanks Nautikos.
I am thoroughly enjoying this R and R.  As for the gin and tonic, I'll be hard pressed to find any alcohol in my parents' cupboard; however, I believe I've got some available at home, somewhere hidden away . . . although not quite sure where!

And yes, we're all effected by these illegal border crossings, eh?  "It's a small world afterall, it's a small world . . . ."

Shawn, have you actually read Ann's book?
One part of me says that I should read her book and then forget about reading an opposing side, since the media is pretty slanted towards liberals.  Read newspapers and one is bound to understand the liberal perspective.  I will, however, take your suggestion into  consideration!

Jane,

happy summer reading, happy summer, happy reading! Hope you allow yourself the odd gin-and-tonic to go with it!

I came across a book today (well, not the book itself, just the reference to it) by one of your Reps (R, Colorado) entitled Mortal Danger, apparently dealing with the Mexican invasion and related issues. Since your Southern border problems have an impact on us Canadians as well, I intend to get it. Of course, it may not make for pleasant reading...

Yes, Ann is Mighty Provocative
It is a good idea to read her and then the opposite opinion - namely Al Franken's Lies - then make up your own mind.

It doesn't seem like she does a good job of refuting Gore's use of scripture.  Besides, is she saying basically to trash the earth because you can worry about cleaning things up in heaven?

Thanks for the book recommendation!  Her sarcasm is fun and the opinions make you ponder your own political beliefs.

Corbin, good point.
I need to get a few groceries at Sam's club when I return home.  I like buying butter from them.  Four pounds lasts a long time . . . .

Sorry WritersBlok --
You've got a new job . . . how long before you get any vacation???  If it makes you feel better, I had to wait over a year before getting any vacation (longer than four days).  So yes, I'm enjoying myself!

Janes
It is great. She has such a wonderful way of putting the vile on a cocktail fork and holding it daintly in the air until someone hands her a cracker. She is Top Notch.

I'd love to read Coulter's straightforward book !!

Have you read Greenfield's Letters from Afghanistan in the Journal category on Blogit? They'd make an excellent book !! She's teaching there, so her vivid, well-written posts reveal an inside story we'll never hear via Media. Scroll down to read several posts if you go to her blog.
