Thank you all for your comments.
I am never able to look at any of my wife's artwork without a sense of amazement and humility. We all have our strong and weak points, but I would love to be able to paint and draw like she does. There was once a time...... well, that is another story left untouched!

colourful and delightful.
do you realize how difficult it is to write to a painting, because the picture speaks volume already, it is hard to add to it without stating what the picture already states. I agree your last stanza is the best. It speaks. Make the flower speak for you, it is telling you don't give up, its sunny smile says, things will come right, and living is an art, sometimes it's sweet, sometimes it's bitter, but the sun flowers smile day and night. Ok, I am starting to loose the plot here. Forgive me.

HEY YPUN! YEAH, I WOULD AGREE WITH YOU!
Not every verse can be a masterpiece! I usually don't like to "talk" to the subjects of my haiku, but in this case, an exclamation seemed in order, but I do agree this is a weak one. Will write you more tomorrow when I can think straight.....assuming I reach that point!

Dave... great accompaniment to the spouse's art
The first haiku is a little flat (just regular description, albeit great description). The second and third in the TRIO take the art form to a new level. Loved them... even the build up. Cheers, YPUN.
