I took this for you. Not in a German square, but in a Keswick beer garden

Enjoy!

Easy to do - yes!
Easy not to do - hmmmm? In my experience it is much easier to consciously do something - than - consciously not do something.

Azur, would those be boxing gloves or evening gloves?
Personally, I would pay money to see you challenge someone to a duel, the old-fashioned way: by slapping them in the face with your evening gloves. I pity da fool who lumps you into any sort of category with ruffians or other miscreants.
I think a sharp retort should do it.

It's easy to judge/jump to conclusions about a group if you know a few who do whatever. As for soccer, it's just a news story when it comes to the brawls after the match. My own impressions are more of a soccer mom I knew who was VERY involved with the soccer league. So my prejudice is that they are busy, not violent. If I knew more soccer fans, I'd have a broader view, I think...

We're all guilty of doing this at one time or another, pending certain circumstances. You're right, it's easy enough to avoid, given a certain level of innate tolerance and open-mindedness. Unfortunately, not everyone has one or the other of these, and even fewer possess both.
