I have spent many years trying to ignore that side of me,
I put my trust into other's and ignored my inner self that is untouched by others. Now I strive to listen more to my inner self than to others. When I do this, I am never disapointed. You are right about how no matter the close-ness to another person, this part of us is hidden, and this is a good thing.

Very nice work here...when that inner self finds its companion in
another, it no longer fears the exposure of itself. That is true vulnerability and intimacy, without fear of judgment.
