Could be, SlyCy, but is it an irrefutable fact that the man is on dialysis?
Think about this: bin Laden and al Zawahiri were in Afghanistan while our CIA was supporting the northern resistance and various warlords. Yes, I'd say these guys know quite a bit about the dirty deals that transpired before our government washed its hands of the affair (until 9/11). But I don't beleive that is why they haven't captured or killed these two -- it's a combination of having a boogeyman symbol for the War on Terror and the fact that these guys are loved and respected by Muslims, so no one wants to turn them in (or be retaliated against for turning them in).

It is astonishing that this guy needs dialysis to keep alive while
he is prowling around in caves in Afghanistan or whereever and we can't locate the sob. Good grief! I think he is like Whitey Bulger. If they capture him alive, he could reveal too much dismaying information about the government.
