Darkke, I am all for encouraging folks -- good writers -- to take it up
So here's good news. Some graduates like you who were not teachers set up a nonprofit about 15-16 years ago. The name? U guessed it: TEACH FOR AMERICA or TFA. Try the first, then second, in a search. They would love you to help their cause, and they do make it possible if you make it through their assessment/interviews. Good luck, YPUN

It would be interesting to see how our education system would look if anyone could be a teacher.  I think there are many talented people who don't have a degree, but could get the kids attention and teach them the basics anyway.  Don't know much about unions, but I know I would not go back to college to teach school.  (Might consider it if my current degree was enough though...)
