Kat02 and Decshack, its a specific kind of haiku. That's all
Senryu are hybrid haiku in that "real" haiku is about a season/s and Nature, NOT about human beings and their emotions. Those that include such human elements are called "senryu". Later, how to pronounce the word.........fun! Thanks, YPUN

WONDERFUL! NOW I HAVE LEARNED SOMETHING FROM YOU!
I had heard, but did not know, what senryu is! Now I know and now I have a name to put to my non-nature related "haiku". Wow, all this time I have been writing haiku and senryu and didn't know it! Thanks! and by the way...I appreciate anyone who maintains the 5-7-5 traditional style. Anyone can drop a few words into three lines, but it takes a strict discipline to maintain the traditional format and still make a strong statement.
