I think that is the joy and thrill of fiction.  You are as surprised as your reader to the outcome.

Thanks! I'm enjoying writing them! I never know specifically where I will end up, just generally.

Thanks! I'm glad it makes you laugh. The characters are pretty funny to me, but you never know what others will think.

Thanks! Yeah, somehow it just doesn't seem like a good idea . . .

Thank you, my friend. I hope it ends up there.

It's not wierd. I think it's pretty healthy to not want to wake up with a devil dog in your bed - though I do think it's a funny line.

I'm sorry that you are having those kind of dreams. Mine are never about bad things or how they looked right before death. They are always about something fun that we are doing or dreams where they are trying to tell me something.

Thanks! And on the surface, neither am I. But I wonder what it would be like if you were able to see, and help, those who have passed? It certainly could be a fascinating learning experience.

Good writing and you are quite right my friend. I never want to wake up with a devil dog on my bed

Excellent series. I'm sure this will make it into book format. Samhain_Moon

I know this is a weird thing to pick out...
but I loved this sentence more than any other.
"You never want to wake up in the middle of the night with a devil dog in your bed."

Sometimes, I dream of my dad, who's been gone since '89. Sometimes, it's dredging up old feelings; and, other times it's remembering him as when he had cancer.

Sannhet,
I love it!  Death doesn't  answer questions on an empty stomach.  Come to think of it, neither do I (and I know a whole lot less  interesting stuff).  I"m laughing at "if he's hungry, he's got to get his own doughnuts".  Death has a great sense of humor. Course I'm still not in favor of seeing dead people.
