Olympic Peninsula -- I believe I was there when I was about 10.
Vague memories of a beautiful area!!!  But Blanche, you would miss your coffee shop, eh?

bel, be sure to not drive to a big city with two other women.

Your directional impairment will turn into pure imbecility (or something dreadful with a similar spelling -- in case I spelled that wrong).  Talk about feeling dumb -- that was me!

Janes
I hate being lost. I am chicken at this age, I fly, rent a car with the talking lady under the hood who tells you were you are, where you want to go and how to get there. I think my grandma hit a snag on her way to heaven and lives under the hood of a large Cadillac rental car. I am glad you had fun.

JanesOpinion, At least you didn't end up in Vancouver like Spitfire did.  LOL    These days I don't go anywhere without studying a map or directions first.    Its the old lady in me and I always end up saving time by taking the time to do it.

Janes, At this point, I'd like to move over to the Olympic Peninsula myself
to winding, country tree-lined roads and a much slower life (for now, although, urban sprawl is expanding everywhere).

Blanche, I guess I'm just a country girl at heart.
Fuhget about this cosmopolitan, big city traffic!!!

JanesOpinion,
Whew, navigating in a strange city is stressful enough without oblivious passengers.  You did well to get them back on track, and stay focused on the task at hand:  getting where you were going.  I can see why you are happy to be home!

Flightpath, I would agree.

Add to all the chaos the construction, detours, lane changes, etc and it's pretty dreadful.  We all agreed that we would NOT want to make this commute on a daily basis.

Thanks for stopping by!

Driving in Chicago is nightmare - alone or with someone! ...been there - done that. Now, ten years later, I hear it's worse.

Get in the wrong lane at the wrong time and you may never be seen again!

OK...not really. Glad you are back home safe and sound.
