Is it as cold as Auckland?
I long for summer too. Stupid fire won't even get started. I fancy a trip to Summerland, France may be. Any takers?

Good going... and a suggestion
I was attracted by this poem because my Dad died a few summers ago. I wrote a haiku or senryu in remembrance last night and posted it.
Your poem will read better if you rework the last line. Somehow it read like prose and breaks the rhythm of the previous lines. Good luck--- on Father's Day.
