MarieClaire66... my comments were off.
The one you commented on is about my dad's passing away in South Africa at age 69--- young by some standards. Thanks again

Thanks MarieClaire--your comments are so perceptive
I feel I could do more for this birthday girl, but either distance or circumstances prevent me. Yet, the world is better for this young person -- and I too have become a better person because of her. Cheers! YPUN

Hidden sadness in this one
sharp contrasty statement is what strikes me. It touches me.

Excellent haiku, YPunday. And I agree with swftfox, haiku isn't haiku
if it doesn't follow the traditional syllable count.

Thanks for sharing Brisbane...
For the last few years, I seem just a tad too serious. I keep asking about mortality, the spiritual, life... perhaps death is a way to answer the question: Is there meaning in all this birthing and dying? I seem to be edging to the possible explanation that in this unbroken circle, human understanding, intuition, religion are just another form of Creator and Creature enjoying Creation. Shalom! Thanks for the heads up, haiku lover
will look at it again, and make adjustments while keeping the intent. Have a lovely day.

VERY NICE! I like your explanation in your description too.
Someone was complaining that nobody explains to him what haiku is but everywhere (including mine) I see wonderful explanations! I really dont care for "American" haiku with wrong syllable count, as I believe it is for people who simply can't write real haiku. Yours is very nice, but one tiny thing that I have done occasionally.....you have six syllable in the first line!
