I will try anything at this point. I am used to my cats thinking they are the alpha. When Carl came home my older cat wouldn't even look at me for a week, he knew Carl but was not impressed that he actually came back and took his place LOL! Samm has always been the Alpha, I by no means am confused about the fact that I am his human versus him being my cat. But I have never had one that is such a terror!

Get a squirt gun at a toy store.
Whenever he climbs on the screen, or tears at your drapes or couch, squirt him. In the face if possible. It doesn't hurt 'em but they hate it, and will soon learn to avoid locations where the water appears. Cats can't be trained or turned into members of your pack with you as the alpha figure as dogs can, but they are trainable even if it's only avoidance.
