Bel -
On the porch, in the arms of light, watching light - nothing better!

For Carl he simply does what he believes to be the right thing.  He doesn't ask for the approval of others as he say "I can only change the things I do."  He stands up for what he believes and leaves the rest to God to take care of.

It is too bad that many who fight against any war do not understand that you can't have a moral city without a guard at the gate. Carl and his comrads are our guards. It is us to us to live those lives of high standards , of love, peace and joy for outselves and to our fellowman.

you put that beautifully.  Yes, this is exactly why he serves his country, not just for us but for everyone.  Simple peace without fear.

That is a picture of what Carl fought for. Basic, simple goodness in the home. Thank you for sharing this with us. I could feel your pain and joy. Be blessed.

Yes Whacky
They are.  They brought me a good deal of peace last year and now, they just bring me joy.

Fireflies are a bit magical themselves.
