Yes it gets crazy over there in the "Blue Mile" even when they lose the town would party till three in the morning. Hate to go to work the next day. You should hear the arena when they play it's amazing. The National Anthem Singer doesn't even bother to sing O Canada anymore he lets the crowd take it away and they sound good. You should watch it's on Saturday, game six. My son loves watching hockey he even helps sing O Canada.

Leave it to the OILERS to give us a heart attack. That goal was beautiful and they deserve to win the cup. See you in Edmonton.

Your right but if a team from Canada didn't make the finals and it was two American teams would we still watch. I'm not sure about that the gold medal game in the Olympics I didn't watch so I'm glad a Canadian team made it to the playoffs this year again. (Calgary last hockey season) The ratings sure would have hit bottom unless it was a Detroit team in the finals.

8-Ball: I just had to say CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Your Oilers pulled it off in overtime!

I for one hope Edmonton pulls this out and wins.  I heard how crazy the city got when they made it to the Stanley Cup Finals.  I would love to read the newspapers the morning following an Oiler victory.  Of course, the citizens just might go crazy and burn the whole city to the ground in celebration.

LOL...go figure.

yeah what a great game. I thought those refs. were going to ruin it for us in overtime but that short handed goal made things right. What's with the power play. The Oilers can't seem to score when the other team is shorthanded. Like they can only score five on five goals. Good in a way but if they can cash in on some power play goals that would be great too.

8-ball - typical TV numbers for this series >>>>
850 Americans tuned into the game, 3.8 million Canadians tuned in. Just about the last thing that Gary Bettman wanted is a final with a small market Canadian team and a team from a place where they refer to the game as "ice hockey" and ask questions like "awwre those fiats real?" . . . yeah, those fights are real . . this ain't wrestling and the product itself with the rules changes has made this year's final exceptional.

Won in Overtime
Awesome game and Edmonton came out on top forcing a game six at home. We got them in a corner now. Short handed goal it was a beauty. I love hockey but now I have to go to bed. Too excited.

We have a team here in the US called the "Oilers"-
The Houston Oilers...They used to be a football team, not sure anymore.

Edmonton is winning
Going into the second period with a one goal lead. The score is three-two Edmonton. The referees are really blowing the whistles this game. I think that will be the factor for both teams.

I'm watching the game right now
and their arena is quiet compared to ours. At least that is something to be proud of if Edmonton loses.LOL

That Sport is Physical also
You can watch the game I'm sure there is a channel in the States that shows hockey. We are not all hockey crazy as it may seem but yes I get excited about the games. I hope Edmonton wins.

8-ball, If I were a Canadian, I could really get into hockey.    This reminds me of when I was in high school and I was on the girl's field hockey team.   It was pretty wild.
