Excellent post, Whim,

Good points to consider, Whim. As Dr. Phil would put it, it's not a
50-50 thing, it's a 100-100 thing, both parties bringing one hundred percent of themselves into the relationship.  I have two stepsons whose father is a Neanderthal and I am having a difficult time trying to get them to not follow that path of least resistance.  Their father is a controlling egotist who justifies his lordly position in the house by alpha male posturing and biblical scripture.  Their mother, my fiance, works as much or more than I, makes more money than I, and comes home and wants to do more than I.  Out of a sense of fairness and guilt, I pitch in (or do something that should have already been done).  You are absolutely correct in saying that it is an insult to women when men say they are doing women a favor or helping them out by doing what is necessary around the house and in their relationship.
