It seems 10 years

Is the turning point for alot of us.  I left my first marriage after 10 and realized I had wasted alot of time in a very bad marriage!

started off hating I find myself loving....when you listen to the words it hits you.  Maybe if they didn't put it in such silly tunes.... ANother one of my favs is "Flowers on the Wall"..... I love that.

....but I got to thinking about the whole tweezers thing and....well, five hours in the bathroom really ISN'T a long time.  I'm a victim.  Pluck me.

actually my son kooka has pretty much said it all

there are no guarantees in life, despite what you may have heard.

one of the songs i started out hating the most i now see as a great piece of philoosphy

it's called ROSE GARDEN

starts out "I beg your pardon, I never promised you a rose garden."

i guarantee you we've all lived pretty tough lives.

what i see from what you write is that you have pretty come through a bad part of your life all right -- that's more than a lot of people.

i like your toughness

it's a wonder Mark isn't commenting here more --

Everything happens for a reason

But for the most part it is up to us to make that reason.
If you learned from the experience and have grown and developed as a person, then you have your reason right there.  If it has changed you for the better and help you become a better, stronger person, then that was the reason.
Now if you learned nothing and did no growing and are just waiting for a reason to come out of nowhere (As so many do) then you've wasted the whole experience.
However it sounds like you grew through it, so you have your reason for it happening.
