The last time I went to Canada, a passport was not required for Americans.

It amazes me that this was that easy for the girl
Personally I live in Michigan and very near the Canadian Border. My daughter is 12 and will NOT be going to Canada with "friends" at 16. Who would allow their child to go to another country without adult supervision? I don't care if it's only 45 minutes away. Both area's that are pretty accessible from Michigan can be dangerous for a group of unsupervised kids! Sorry, but the parents need to take SOME responsibility in this.
