Jane,
of course it's an oxymoron, but that's only because the writer is a moron, not because we suddenly need to ditch evolution...

Justi, you might have to wait awhile.

After all, potato salad is a complex dish and would require the evolution of a variety of substances, to then be created into one delicious mixture.  Not only that, but with natural selection, it would take awhile for just the right ingredients to survive the primordial chaos to evolve into salad.

I think you'll be safer if you go buy the ingredients and make your own wonderful recipe.  Your guests, otherwise, might tire of waiting.

Jane's
I am waiting for the potatoes to  evolve into salad...... Ya think?

justi, I could enjoy having a bag of potato chips right about now,

after three hours of yard work, some sweating, and a significant loss of sodium.

Do you think, after a few gazillion years, a bag might evolve out of the primordial soup before my very eyes?

Oh yeah, you're probably right.  I should just run to the store and buy some of the "created" version.  It would be a little quicker that way, eh?

yeah, xenox, it's amazing how extraordinary

all these animals are that came creeping out of the primordial soup.

Mind boggling,

impressive,

beyond imagination.

But if that's what you prefer to believe, man, have at it!

redwood, I am so impressed.

Please tell me, did that "POOF" also include an ounce or two of humility???

Loved the comment, thanks for stopping by!

Redwood
To bad you had to be all that and a bag of potato chips and  a girl at that.

scientists will tell you
that the crocodile evolved to fit its environment -- and fit it did -- extremely well.

the promo talks to the gut of the recipient, using wordage that resounds in a certain manner, whether it is entirely accurate is beyond the point of the piece.

JanesOpinion - I did not evolve -
One night my wife was praying. She said "please give me someone who is as handsome as Clark Gable, as smart as Albert Einstein, as buff as Arnold Schwartznegger, a voice like Elvis, and as dashing as Antonio Banderas". And, all of a sudden , POOF,  I materiaized right before her eyes!

Thanks for stating the obvious, since that is pretty much what I said.
That is, the article does not pretend to be scientific, but nonetheless, the wording does point to a glaring inconsistency in evolution.

the article is
more less a promotional article for Australia

verbage is couched in hyperbole, and the like as a excitement inducer

has nothing to do with science.

just promotional

I think Al Capone was typified as a "perfect killing machine".
