thank you blogflogger
for facts -- i had wondered

but you will notice that no one has disputed your statements.

yes I have heard and read army propaganda before

it is interesting how little of the whole picture they present sometimes.

I have the utmost respect for those common people that decide to sacrifice their lives in whatver manner for their country.  my problem is always with the government that sends them to fight and die in unnecessary war, orin the generals, who promote a certain agenda and  throw out a lot of flak as a coverup.

an honest ogernment and spokespeople with give all of us more faith in them -- and if they deal with the rest of the world honestly, then we all can support them.

Bel 1965,

It is not my intent to sound or be mean! But George Bush has used up his quota of dead bodies! I am offended by this fixation on killing people to have your way! Bush has a history of this insane behavior! He may escape this Planet unjudged, but without my endorsement!

A 12 year old, then why mention it here? Do you expect America to still be in Iraq?

Glenn we will start with the fact that my daughter is 12

and we have some time before that happens.  You know pal, you do alot of talking from your armchair, which makes you a a legend in your own mind.  Walk in my shoes, interview a soldier, run for office and change things, then run off at the mouth.  By the way, we don't have a dog, we have a cat and from some of the postings today, the cat just might kick some butt.

Corbin Dallas,
I am very suspicious of you propagandist who never write on the week-end! You and WriterofLight (blocked me) have developed a very strange pattern! Maybe you work for Mr. Rove! By the way, where is Karen Hughes?

My Daughter Informed Me
The other day she is joining the Army when she graduates.  Mind you I HATE this but I also admire her desire and her reasoning.

Corbin
This is wonderful . These are brave and courageous people who  choose to  fight for the cowards who are afraid and lie about  occupations and all sorts of other realities. Thank God there are some brave people or those who twist any truth would be unable to peddle their propaganda.  THANKS TO THOSE WHO KEEP US FREE... Blogflogger may have been shot at recently, if so I am sorry. Should stay away from that side of town.

Corbin - You can spin it all you want, but the country is NOT coming...

... out of the woodwork to show their support for this bogus "occupation of Iraq".

The military reduced their target recruitment goals for fiscal year October 2005 – September 2006 by an average of 33% for all branches of the military to avoid continuing to miss their goals.

We are sending troops back for 3 and 4 tours of duty to work around the lower recruitment.

In October 2005 Army Secretary Francis J. Harvey and vice chief of staff Gen. Richard Cody announced the Army was using looser Defense Department rules that permitted it to sign up more high school dropouts and people who score lower on mental-qualification tests.

Just to meet the lowered recruitment goals they also lowered the standards. They will now take high school dropouts without even a GED, the drug policy was relaxed, and they’ve issued waivers for recruits with criminal records. (The Army granted waivers to 11,018 recruits in the 12-month period ending Sept. 30, 2005, or 15 percent of those accepted into the service that year.)

They also scaled down the length of time devoted to basic training camp, and have “scaled down the stress level to be less exacting” to avoid dropouts. They have accepted recruits for some who fall into the lowest of the aptitude categories.

How can you possibly try to gloat about the successes of recruitment when they don't exist?

Yeah, the libs I'm sure will have some smart aleck remark about this
like "well, there aren't enough decent jobs available for people without education, so they were semi forced to join out of economic reasons" or some such rot.  I, too, heard that same statistic, and was impressed.

Thanks to the military recruits, all of whom, choose - on their own - to sign up, their numbers are growing.

The Ruling Elite...
...have always been able to rely on a ready and virtually inexhaustible supply of canon-fodder to conduct their dirty little wars for them.

It always has been this way.

One day, I hope, we'll wake up.
