Your muse is napping....
Don't worry, she'll wake up one of these days and you'll be better than ever. Make a pot of soup. I know it's summer and not soup weather, but making a pot of soup from scratch will keep your hands busy, the cook's bites of veggies as you chop will be unusually delicious, and it's creative effort at its most fundamental level...

MerryAnne, I'm afraid that chains, whether actual or imaginary, would only make me rebel and I would spend all of my chained time trying to figure out how to get loose.

Of course, then you have to remember what the ideas were when you get back to the writing desk...that's been my problem lately.

Walk away from it for a while.  I don't think chains are very helpful for getting inspired...my best ideas always seem to come when I'm doing something else.

Sturgis

it feels like Ive been in a funk for months now.

Even my work on my novel has slowed so much I think I'm erasing instead of writing!

Merryanne...I've lost my motivation to post other than on this site.
Guess I'm in a funk.
