Thank you Kimlynn
The bottom line is still that you just need to have faith that the prayer will be answered.  There is no way of knowing who has answered it and I suppose it doesn't really matter.

It's always nice to get a nice response....
....but I didn't necessarily agree in the theory of just having faith in no power, but just faith in nothing.  My point was that there has to be a power you are looking to...to support your hope.  Again, we might trust in our own power to just believe for something, but even then, even if there is power in us to cause something outside of us to occur, to me there are 2 powers, God and Satan, eveil and good, light and darkness, and all powers that can cause supernatural events, even if you call it the power of your mind, still originates from one of the 2 original and only spiritual or supernatural powers, which would be God or Satan.  Furthermore, I imagine a person might just have faith and not be consciously attributing his faith to either or these two, but even then, one of the two is the power behind the manifestation that faith ignited.  And which one that might be is another long thought.  Want to be clear is all.

Kimlynn, that's probably the best answer so far

You just have to have faith that the prayer will be answered.  You don't have to have faith in god.  Maybe someone will answer the prayer.  The source of who fulfills the prayer doesn't matter, just be assured that the prayer will be answered if you have faith.

Thank you.

Success warrior.....

Why, I wonder, do you care to hear the answer?  That might be more signifigant than the answer.

You don't have to have faith in God; you can have faith in Satan, and he might answer you if it suits his devices.  Are we assuming that there is some power in faith or behind it?  If so, the power has to come from somewhere, whether it's God or Satan, and I don't know of any other powers.  Some may say there is power in man himself, in his mind for example, but even then the power is in him; he is not the power himself.  I'd say in that case, where a man figures he can just have faith, and because of it, his hope will be manifested, we might see that his belief or faith is in himself.  While he might be having faith, and saying he's just having faith without attributing the results he expects to either of the 2 powers, he has to be saying then that he's attributing the power to himself, to his faith, or power to believe that something will happen becasue he believes, and in what or who? Let each person judge for themselves where a man with this perspective might receive the power to manifest his hope through his faith with, or which power might manifest his hope.     "His sheep know his voice..."

Lots of answers that skirt the question.
Faith in what?  Faith that the door will be unlocked?  Faith in god?

Prayer is the key to heaven, but faith unlocks the door!
