How tragically ironic ...
Had only he heeded the words of the great philosopher Homer J. Simpson:
“When will I learn? The answers to life's problems aren't at the bottom of a bottle! They're on TV!”

I like the way he went down the river instead of downing the vodka. He gulped water instead of vodka and he was never found/ironic he was trying to hide the booze instead he got lost.

What a tough break.
Do you know the guy holding the record for the worst luck in the Guiness Book of World Records was struck by lightning seven times before dying by being hit by a bus. He was a park ranger. Maybe after the third lightning strike, I might wonder about some other career options, but that's just me. Great story

ThomasFranklin, Poor man. I like your story but I feel sorry for the man. No chance. He was doomed whichever way you look at it. I've had patients who talked visitors into bringing them vodka. Can you imagine trying to hide a bottle of vodka when you can't even get out of bed by yourself?
