Labels hurt everyone and in this case I think those two labels have
come to mean very different things when they should be related.

boy oh boy, i couldn't agree with you more. leave the wildlife alone.
environmentalists are important to the sustainability of the planet.  fishermen are important to the planet.  hyped-up emotionalists with wallets bigger than brains need to buy a wall-sized  flat screen tv and all the best nature footage they can find.

Thanks Jazwolf!
That does make sense...I am thinking of writing a post myself now....

FoF--- My humble opinion is that most people can tune in, but just aren't
aware or comfortable with the ability. Also, I suspect women are more likely to embrace this quality. My sensitivity isn't just about emotional either. It includes the sensory, especially hearing, smelling, and feeling (touch). A psychic once told me that people with highly developed intuition are hyper sensitive to all aspects of life. Makes sense to me. Hope this helps.

hmmm... listening to you and Passionflower...
I am almost tempted to claim, "ooh! Me too!"  like some teenage girl...  I have no idea if I  qualify, but a lot of what you two comment seems to fit me...I still assumed that is true for most people though... as when someone says something bad happened to a relative, the listener always says "Oh I am so sorry" and seems sincere... I never assumed that anyone else would "feel news" any differently from me...or "get a sense of people." Doesn't everyone? Sorry...I am confused I guess...someone write some posts please!  lol

FoF--- Manatees are awesome creatures. Huge, gentle, and curious.
They'll even seek out human contact, given the chance. I love rubbing their bellies!

Passionflower--- I also consider myself empathic. Or maybe just
super sensitive. At any rate, I seem to "feel" things more than most.

I didn't know about this split and have always thought

of myself as an "Environmentalist"--a tree hugger. I AM very passionate about the environment and see great danger coming to our planet.

If I had seen you fishing I would have waved, said hello, asked you how the fishing was and where you were from, etc. I'm the curious sort and never judge people by outward appearances. But I'm also an 'empath' and can always get a 'sense' of what a person is truly like underneath their facade.
