I remember watching a documentary a year or so ago, showing soldiers driving in Iraq. They said it was their favorite thing to do because they were kings of the road and everybody got out of their way or they forced them out of their way. They laughed as they pushed a driver in a white pickup off the road. As soon as I heard about this incident in Afghanistan, I wondered if that behavior played a part and the reaction of the Afghanis came from frustration over that behavior. It's sad what conflict does to young soldiers and it's sad that innocent civilians pay the price. I hope peace and understanding can still come out of this situation.
