Lady

It's nice to see you again.  I always find it interesting as military loved ones compare our situations.   We each seem to see someone else who has it harder than ourselves.  I for one, can't imagine what it is like to be a parent of a soldier and after the stories CArl has told me, I am so grateful he is not a Marine, that is said with deep respect not intended as an insult in anyway.  What the Marines do is some very scary stuff.

Thanks so much!

Sophistie
You should only write what you want to write.  When it becomes a chore then it's time to do something else.

I think you should too, could be very cathartic
I have read you off and on over this last year.  I'm caught up now and glad your husband is home safe.  My husband was a marine but got out before all this insanity.  I was worried for him when he was on missions, but nothing compared to what you have been through.

Go For It
It has been suggested to me several times to write a book, yet I cannot seem to get with it.  I can write blogs and have a lot to tell, etc., yet I think I simply do not want to write a book.  Could I use the money of such a possibility!  Definitely, yes!!

Hi Bel.....Absolutely. It's a wonderful story to tell...
And dang that Strat for coming up with near brilliant ideas, ha ha...Take your time as Blanche advises and you will be knitting together quite a fascinating study on love, danger, war and the raw emotions that go into being a military wife. I can't imagine the strong constitution it takes to try and grasp having had a loved one far away in harm's way, fighting a war.

I've had that, too, Bel,
Days, when I had to come on the blog and just pour out some piece of the past and then I was drained, but I HAD to do it.  It had to come out.

Blanche
Thank you so much.  I just finished an entry for a competition and my piece was on the day Carl left.  It literally drained me to write it.  I will definately remember to take it slowly.

Bel,

I spotted you for Military Wife as soon as you got back.  It was in your first post, I think.  Anyway, I'd say go at your own pace with those journals, they're obviously already bringing up some powerful feelings.  I'm signing up for a 9 week course on peer to peer counseling that starts this week. We're going to get into journaling, the therapeutic benefits, etc.

There is a certification for poetry therapy I'm looking into, too.  One thing I do know, is respect your limits when dealing with the past, don't push it, and get lots of support.  I think it's a great idea, Strat's a genius, and you might have a bestseller and a priceless work that will not only help you and your family to write it, but all the people who are struggling with the same issues.

Strat
You know the most messed up thing about all of this.  You remind me ALOT of Carl.  Your twisted humor and all!

Just a gentle kick in the behind, my dear.
You do have something to say; there a lot of folks, women and men, who have been there and will readily identify with what you went through; and I'd bet even money that such a compilation would sell pretty well in every PX on the planet.

Oh, and by the way, BUWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Get To Work!

Passion
It will be tough, but I also think that there is something positive to be offered.  There were days when I really didn't know how I would make it past another day, yet I did.  I survived and so did "WE".

That Strat is a clever guy!

He's on to something, girl. I know it will be painful for you. You'll have to re-live all those dark, lonely, scary days. But you'll have us to talk to. And Carl.

I'm reliving my dark days in New Orleans right now! If it helps the survivors, then its worth it. Your book will help the women in your situation...and there are many. Plus, there's NO END IN SIGHT FOR THIS WAR. It could go on for years more.

Cracking up at Sturgis
So we are both a bit slow on the uptake LOL!

Harley Cripes, bel...you're militarywife. DER!!!!!!!! So we both
discover each other's true identity.  LMAO.  Though I know it will be hard to revisit your past blogs, I am one who was there for some of it and look forward to what you decide to share.  XO
