Sly..
It is really not a good idea for the students!!  I go in a school daily with the attitude that if anyone is going to have a bad day, it will be them (students)!  That is how I have a great day everyday and make sure the students do also!  Thanks for commenting!

What a bully!
Good for you for not tolerating the behavior!

I Love It..
I like to keep order and respect and will do so by any means necessary!  Believe it or not many students appreciate it given the bullies in schools these days.  It seems that I have to get at least one under control and after that, they all fall in line.  Thanks for the comments!

Darrke..
I agree whole heartedly with you.  I detest people who stand by and watch evil doers and have the ability to do something and will not.  You have good points!!

Sophistie, I agree that respect seems to be at the root of most conflict
I don't always follow rules or procedures, but I do try to respect those who respect me.

The LOVE of money is the root of all evil...and I'm not sure that conflict and evil are always the same thing.  It seems to me people can have a very orderly kind of evil as well.  I'm thinking about those who look the other way when autrocities are committed (avoiding conflict by not confronting the evil), or even a whole way of life that is free from conflict, but has some evil basis.  (Such as in books like 1984 or A Brave New World)

Even with those examples, it's probably not money, but security, that the people love.

Yes that is the root of many conflicts.

Lady M...
I followed procedures and sent him to the office.  He did not go willingly however.  I had to send for a Dean to come.  I sternly finally told him to pack his things for he WAS leaving the room.  When I headed to the office later in the day, his Mom came to pick him up and she had on a police uniform!!!  Can you believe that!  Thanks for the comment!  Pain for him would have been tempting, yet I had to stay in the place of an adult (lol)!

So what did you do to the disruptive student?

I would have poked him with scissors.  Though that probably wouldn't be a very mature way to respond.
