Another use for Peppermint
I suffer chronic headaches and migraines and found this quite useful.
When you have a headache try putting a small drop of Peppermint Oil on each temple and at the center of your forehead (at the third eye). Most headaches will quickly disappear and the relief for migraines is simply wonderful.
Several herbal companies put out variations of Migraine Sticks, they are basically Peppermint Oil in a neutral oil carrier.
From personal experience - these are simply wonderful.

Peppermint!
I love peppermint! I didn't know it had those effects, though. I'm glad I came to read this! :) Extremely informative!

Naorem
I used to put a couple drops of Peppermint Oil in a bottle of water for my oldest when she was a baby. She was prone to colic attacks and the peppermint really helped ease her discomfort.

I have a dementia patient who is always sucking on peppermints.
Because of the constant infusion of sugar, she is frequently battling a yeast infection (in her throat) . . . but I bet she doesn't have any acid reflux!

Thanks, naorem,
Peppermint sounds a lot tastier than ginger. I believe that I heard ginger can be a little on the bitter side, but then I don't think I've had it, outside of cookies. :)
