Go to Court Of The One-Eyed Judge

Dammit, my comment disappeared. Hmmm. Anyway, as I said before
(that which you did not see), Lay and Skilling got what they deserved in the convictions. If you add up Lay's 6 guilty charges and Skilling's 19, both of them are of the age that when placed consecutively, both would die in prison serving out the sentences. But parole is a possibility, and that is not deserved, because of all the lives they ruined by destroying life savings, stock portfolios, future jobs, pension funds, etc. Yeah, life in prison for these fuckers isn't too harsh. It is deserved.

I disagree with the notion of handing out a longer sentence ...
simply to "set an example". It seems extremely unfair to the individual, not to mention, rather discriminatory. There should be a specific penalty for a specific crime period. The judge/jury should have, little if any, flexibility in the sentencing.
Meanwhile, wouldn't 20 years, more or less, be a life sentence for those two. Or is it a parole issue?
