If I hold My Peace.....
From a song, these words have proven to bring victory in some very signifigant issues in my life....".If I hold my peace and let the Lord fight my battles, Victory is mine." Yes, I do understand....The natural drive is to defend yourself or attempt to bring justice when you see or feel some wrong occurring, and especially when it's toward you! Stand up for yourself! But often you can't convince an enemy to SEE your heart when they are set on seeing what they perceive with their heart and justify with their logic about you, for example. It takes more strength to "Be still and know that I am God" than it does to return darts toward someone, and it also takes the willingness of Love to let God deal with a situation, knowing that his intent is not the secret maliciousness a natrual heart of revenge seeking slef justification feels, but his is to melt the heart of stone and to heal our enemies heart as well as ours. So what's better...to try to convince someone of something in order to prove ourselves right or them wrong, or to surrender our pride and allow God to do what often only He can to give us and our enemy peace and light at the same time? The most profound statements are often made in silence. This is what I thought of your thought on "not acting" faith.
