Religious beliefs should be subjected by those who hold them to the same intellectual rigour as is applied to other theories or beliefs.
But unforunately this is very rarely so, hence Christian beliefs can all too easily be perverted to embrace and foster such evils as the Roman and Spanish Inquisitions, and the persecutions of anti-Semitism.

Why is it construed that someone should have to explain discrepancies
in the Gospel so as to stand up for their faith. I think it makes much more sense to live the faith.
