Ah, the pathos of addiction.
Thank you for this beautiful, touching post, and for being willing to work with people experiencing such pain and sadness.
People wonder why bad things happen to good people. I don't pretend to have the answers; however, I have seen that those who have struggled with something --the loss of a child, an addiction, even a divorce -- are in the perfect situation to reach out and minister to others walking that same road. This is evidenced in the work you do.
