Greetings Black Pearl
Greetings
Pearl sorry it took so long to respond, yes actually I to think Beyonce would do rather well with the leader in command in this part, especially since her father is the manager of her and Destiny’s Child and her mother Tina does all the clothing, I think umm yep, she’s the star. Movie wise I’ve seem a few of her films with the exception of The Pink Panther , hopefully people will take note of a better performance. Well when it comes to Ms. Spears-Feaderline in the beginning she seemed likable, but as time when on she started to reek of fake, but dealing in that industry can make you or brake you and at this point you know your still got something if the press is following you. ~Silly

I liked The Supremes....don't like Micheal Jackson. I undersand that Diana is a bitch but whats this got to do with a movie...Nothing. Which leads me to Shaft, Isaac Hayes, and 'Shut your mouth" which I will now do.

Hi, Silly,
I had nearly forgotten about the new Dream Girls movie. I'm looking forward to it, too. I hope it's well done. I've long thought of Beyonce as the Diana Ross type character since the early successes of Destiny's Child. Everyone knew she'd be the star of the group, much like Diana Ross was of the Supremes. Luckily, Beyonce can sing and has had pretty good luck in her acting roles so far. Poor Britney. Seems like such a fall from grace. A friend of mine, who was in the business, once said that Britney was a really nice person. I guess that shone through (if that's a word) during the early part of her career. Lately, she's had so much bad press and/or bad luck, I don't know if I see much of a comeback in her future, either. Oh well...

Greetings Black Pearl
Yes musical bio pics have come a long way from years past, as a result of Ray and Walk the Line and I on pens and needles for Dream Girls, it's been a decade in the making and I'm hopeing it makes more then a splash. Nope I don't believe I mentioned Ms. Spears-Federline, I've never been a fan, can't stand her and she's had her lightling in a bottle during the boyband times, but I certinaly don't beleive she'll make a comeback well at least sucessful one. ~Silly

Hi, Silly,
I agree, Lady Sings the Blues was a good one. Richard Pryor had some good supporting roles, kind of like a precusor for Jamie Foxx, but with much less recognition and commercial success in his supporting roles. Just some thoughts you brought out.
As for Jennifer Lopez, I'd consider her an actress before a singer, though I guess not much of either. Just a really prety girl. I just don't get the appeal to her so-called singing talents. Whitney Houston has had some good parts, and a once-untarnished reputation that pretty much carried her through her roles. Mariah Carey should just stick to singing, and she needs to fire her stylist and get a new one. Her voice is golden. Let's see. Did you mention Britney Spears? Another JLo-ish phenomenon. Go figure. Not much of a voice, and so far, no demonstration of acting ability either. Hopefully, she has a good financial advisor, just in case she doen't make that rumored comeback.

Whatever happened to Billy Dee Williams?
He never really did much after Return of the Jedi. (Actually, he didn't do very much in Return of the Jedi, either.)
