I get off the sling seat, find a fairly comfy pallet of personal luggage,
adjust my ear plugs, lie down and thread my left arm through the securing straps...oh, you're not riding a C-130 are you??

azur, you are just trying to make me eat my heart out with jealousy.

My last vacation, two weeks ago, was just a four hour drive from here to the ocean, so, not quite as exotic, but also NOT the tiny and sleepy little shrimp fishing villiage on a rocky beach, that it used to be just ten years ago.

I hope that you are well and that your health is back to before you felt yucky and required things.....beijos, Abuelita

Glad you got through the flight.
On long hauls I always wear those tight surgical socks because of the possibility of blood clots. I only do one hour flights at the moment though in March I went to an exotic island which involved four flights

azur, I have to walk lots to prevent blood clots, which I seem to form....

so actually, extremely tight pants are what I need, like latex tight, which is an artificial fabric, non breathing and all the hell that this means.... and would do the loose fitting, if I could exercise more, but they don't really like you up and about....that much.

Thanks for the tips, tho'. Yes, first class was my favorite flying area when I could last afford it. But my wobbly sleeping head and neck are my problems...am thinking to bungie cord the head to the seat !!

15 hours
a hop skip and a jump. At least the time difference is not massive.  I have a sleep mask much better than the airline ones, cost me $15. I dress in loose fitting layers.  I plead frailty in the hope that they will block out the seat next to me so I can stretch out.
I have something to eat and a drink and I watch the movie until I drop of. I have a blow up pillow or a small travel pillow but it depends which class I am flying. I cheat however as for long haul I save up, or get sent for work,  or go into hock to fly business.
