I'm in agreement with everyone else -- totally unbelievable.
What, was she supposed to sacrifice her dog to the alligator/PETA gods? And if that was not enough, her daughter? And then perhaps her husband? Here, take my arm. Still hungry? OK, have at my foot. One must have a well fed, happy alligator as far as PETA and the idiotic animal inspectors are concerned.
What is this flippin' crazy country coming to?

Three women have been attacked and killed in one week and
this woman gets a citation. That is stupidity. Call Peta let them go round up the suckers and take them home with them and polish their little scales. They make beautiful shoes and handbags.

The woman was protecting her home and her pet. She wasn't hunting! I agree with the other post - the officer needs a warning or citation for being an idiot!

This is outrageous....An alligator just killed a woman in
Gainesville Florida! And there have been 3 attacks in Florida in the past week. The citizens have a right to defend themselves. The guy who gave out this citation needs to loose his job!
