Justi, I downsize more each year and it has been constant for the

last ten years.  But garden debris is self replicating and endless, especially in this, our first rainy season in a decade !!! My bamboo is jungle like and I have never seen it look like that before.

The trees are so full that I cannot see their sky above anymore. The grasses are so high on the ground, that I cannot see the dirt anymore. Such rare abundance of green this year.

All city citizens are taking children to rivers where there is finally some small water and it actually moves, taking dogs on walks in water puddles, gathering in the streets right after another rain and smiling, and just staring at their own gardens or neighbors' gardens as they drive by. Our desert mouths are open in wonder and flora love...abondanza to cry over. An oasis made by rain gods and not by garden hoses.

Insects, birds, little desert animals, wonderful things this year, as in my childhood and unseen for decades around here. Wonderful, wonderful desert life....

You will feel great when someone does come take away all that. I began decluttering all my "treasures" stuff about two years ago. It was difficult at first, darn stuff walked back in the house when I wasn't looking. LOL But now I feel so free I have half the stuff I had and most of that I now have in large plastic containers and stored out of sight. It is freeing.

justright, my brutal gardener came by the other day and I showed him the

piles of messy stuff. He has agreed to come and haul it all away, if the landlord hasn't done it by June 9th, when I will have money to pay him.

I would never charge the landlord half because when I was poorer, he waited sometimes one month for the rent and didn't charge me any fees for failing him....so, I owe him big time....

but I like your idea for hauling more crap out of the house while the container is here and emptying out the ABONDANZA in possessions that I own.....

Thanks for reading and writing.

perhaps you could write to your landlord

its always better in writing, asking him to clear the gardening rubbish, as the house is attracting bugs and vermin, and suggest if he doesn't get it done within a certain period ( say 10 days) you will hire a mini skip and then charge him 1/2 the amount.

You could suggest that you take that cost out of the rental amount.

With the mini skip there, you can then throw all the rest of the junk in it and clear up inside your place as well, and generally feel great!
