The GOP is pro-regression, Frankenkitty. Just read any platform,
everything refers to back then, a long time ago, the good ole days, the days when our country was young, back before this nation lost its innocense, before Camelot. What a load of crap. Just like the rednecks and gangstas and the hos and the white trash who now think that the terms aren't derogatory, even taking pride in their own ignorance, your line about cavemen was point on.

I didn't vote for bush.
I knew he was trouble from day one. He lies and people love it. People love to be lied to and told it's for their own good. Not everybody, ofcourse, but enough to make me wonder if there is a large population of Neanderthals taking over the country. I call people cavemen and they think its funny, laugh at themselves even. Let me tell you, stagnation in the progress and evolution of civilized society is NOT funny. It's freakin scary. Great post

That possibility exists, SlyCy. And even if those bastards allowed it to
happen by doing nothing, they're as complicit as bin Laden and al-Qaeda. Consider that our intelligence agencies knew of the attack several weeks in advance, thanks to British intelligence (and others), it was imperative upon Condoleezza Rice as National Security Advisor to keep Bush apprised. I beleive she did. Either ignored it as a matter of course (because of so many threats occurring all the time) or chose to use it as a galvanizing force to advance their right-wing agenda, we'll probably never know. But it sure feeds fire to the conspiracy theorists.
