Its starting - The Curse of the Washington Nationals

Hey growler, first of all, love your article and keeping me posted on updates on the Washington Nationals. Why are the Nats having a hard time? (Read my blog) I haven't the whole truth of the matter, but more is coming soon.

As far as Robinson for commish? You presented good points and he may make a decent commish, but I don't forsee it right away.  If Frank gets fired on Monday, the first thing that he is going to do is go home and take a break and spend some time with his family and maybe go fishing. Then maybe, in 2007, possibly. I do STRONGLY agree with you that Bud Selig has to step down as commish. He is ruining this game and perhaps played a major part in the re-location of this Nationals franchise from Montreal.  He is also, and you heard it hear first, the main instrument in the curse of the Washigton Nationals. (read my blog) This is my take and I am sticking with it. I have witnesses to much nastiness up in Montreal since 2002 to 2004.

I am adding you to my list. Keep me updated about the Nats.

I was happy to see another team in the nation's capital -- again. I was
also happy to see the Nationals play such good ball at the outset of the first season.  But you are correct in all that you say about the general disarray of the team while in search of a new owner.  But, growler, what better way for MLB to treat a team in the nation's capital than by playing fast and loose politics with the powers that be and the people, the fans?  And you're also right about a fan base.   The Nationals will need to generate one.  With a former member of the Braves' office, they should do fine.  We can only hope.
