No comment too long, pkcricket. As to your comment, I am merely
pointing out the growing intolerance of other religions while paying lip service to our freedoms here.  Specifically, do we really need a government committee to look into religious intolerance in other countries?  No, there are plenty of NPOs and United Nations' committees for that sort of thing.  And the fact that the Saudi religious fanatics should be punished is reprehensible.  We don't punish those nutcases at Westover Baptist in Kansas, and that is part of the United States.  I agree that the Saudi regime foments religious intolerance and oppression, but it is not the duty or obligation of the government of the United States to punish them.  Just who the hell do they think they are?  I'll tell you, the holier-than-thou and the judgmental, the my religion is oh-so-much better than yours bunch.  Basically, intolerance in committee, sanctioned by a right-wing government overstepping its constitutional bounds.

It doesn't seem...

that this is really the case though.  Yes, I am a Christian.  I experience the freedom of being able to worship, pretty much any way that I want to.  I am allowed to attend the church of my choice every Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening, if I like.

I've been to the other country though (China), they keep a log of everyone who goes to the state churches.  The pastors are required to submit their sermons to the govt and then they receive it back with corrections.  And just to make sure they follow the corrected sermon, at any time, a govt spy could be sitting in the church service with his own copy of the sermon, checking it, word for word.

This is a long comment, but I think it's ok.  In America, we suffer the "freedom" of religion being balanced with tolerance.  I could explain this more, but if you like, I'll do it in my own blog and you can check it out there.  It seems you have a grasp of the argument though.  Regardless, it's Sunday morning, and I may be late to church!
