It is amazing
and really scary how many bad doctors exist out there. A heart patient I know actually had a doctor tell him to look up his symptoms on the Internet. Yes, he got himself a new doctor who scheduled a quadruple bypass surgery!

mothering styles
are inherited. daughter is still learning from you. have you tried asking questions instead of telling her? sometimes that works better, if the point is to get them to think, do, and be.

Whew...my child's ears are still intact, maybe there is hope for me.
You'll know when your daughter grows a spine...she'll start talking back to you as well as the doctors!

I take my kids to the doctor with concerns and always get looked at like an over worried mother. The doctor who just sits on his butt and tells me my kids are fine and I need to stop with my concerns, without even looking them over. Well I got pissed off and went to another doctor and found out it was more serious as with your grandchild. It's hard to find a doctor who will go against another doctor so I was very lucky that the other doctor took us and fixed the problem.
