Mulligan stew was a hobo's dish back in the 1920s and 30s, presumably named after the guy who claimed to have invented it. Very doubtful!!!

There's a British version :

tin of corned beef.

tin of baked beans.

tin of tomatoes.

sling the lot in a pot, heat and eat.
