I have had a really strong interest in Japan, most likely originating from the fact that when I was about ten years old or so my family had a couple Japanese exchange students come to our place, and I believe that is also why I have this fascination for Asia. At the moment however, here on the East most Asian people tend to be South Korean. One of my best friends is Korean as well as my brothers fiancee, so I also have an increasing interest in Korea.

I am very interested in this post

because I am an Asian. I like the near perfect skin of Asian people, particularly those from Northern Asia, such as Northern China, Korea and Japan. I have to admit that Hong Kong people (I am one of them) are generally uglier than northerners. I am glad you have a thing for Asian people and Asian things.

Which Asian country do you like most?

I know, I shouldn't be desirous of another something other than what I already obtain....

I don't think there are many, if any, Russians in my neighborhood, but due to its size there is no way to know for sure without a door to door polling. That's not cool that people are prejudiced against you. As for the Seinfeld episode, I actually have only seen like 2 episodes of that show. So I don't think I've seen that one.

The grass may look greener on the other side but....

There are no other Russians in our neighborhood ...

And I feel just the slightest hint of prejudice against us, actually.

At any rate, have you ever seen that episode of "Seinfeld"?  Where my signature line came from?  Elaine thinks she may be in an interracial relationship ... but isn't 100% sure.

It was a really good one.

"Not that there's anything wrong with that."

Russian people are white, and being already white, I have really no desire to be white. LOL. I think Russia is a great place. I would love to go there and tour Moscow, but even more so St. Petersburg, and see the sights written about in Crime and Punishment....and I don't really have a problem talking about this.

I don't know that it's healthy to be consumed by the desire ...

However, it probably is the third most popular race/ethnicity/whatever among "posers".  Just behind "whites" and "blacks".

Nobody ever wants to be Russian, I guess.

P.S. Hope you feel better (mood-wise).

"Um, should we really be talking about this?  Because I don't think we should be talking about this."

that is awesome. I also prefer Asian people. If I ever marry a person, she will be Asian, I hope. I can't say I fit his description, but I am white. My one claim to some asian-ness is that because of my bad eyesight, if I take off my glasses I squint and my eyes appear to look somewhat Asian.

Nah I have a friend like that
he studied Japanese and taught us how to make our own sushi even...did I mention he was blonde, blue-eyed and had a strong Southern accent? He of course preferred to date Asian women .Last time I checked he was working in Japan...
