i also just got an unwanted merchant card with a high limit in the mail I never even applied for--i of course did NOT activate it...

another thing that is weird..we've also gotten non-stop calls from a recording looking for a robert sikorski and if you try calling the number, it doesn't exist...

Good grief, a fraudulent collections company?  To what scare somebody into sending money they don't really owe?  That's scary.  That address must be somewhere that the thief intended to pick up his mail, so it's connected to him or her somehow.  I don't know where you would report that, maybe the bank that issued the credit card?  I hope they catch them.

yeah, it would be nice if the jerk gave their real address, because it would nice for this person to get in trouble!!! I also recently got this highlimit merchant card (which I did NOT activate) in the mail I never even wanted...and some unheard of Allied Interstate has been calling my number...I have discovered they are a fraudulent collections agency or something...maybe I need to change my number too!!!!

I am waiting for a copy of my credit report, scared to death to look at it.  On the plus side, though, you caught this because you looked at yours.  I hope before any damage got done.  If the jerk gave his real address, can you turn his address over to the bank or the Attorney General or something?
