i am portraying the attitude of some of Christianity that nothing outside their perception will be tolerated. labeling this a "Christian Nation", when a sizeable portion is not Christian, pushing for prayer in schools when there are some who would not want to participate and would feel uncomfortable not participating in the midst of this, wanting Christian symbols displayed in public places, again, when a sizeable portion of the population would have a problem with this.
it is not on the violent scale of the inquisition, but it is a very similar intolerance of other people's beliefs or lack thereof.

To compare Christian fundamentalism with the Inquisition is such an emoting of illogical diatribe. Let me know when we start hanging, beheading and burning unbelievers at the stake, and then perhaps I will agree with you.
